Boise State beach volleyball players Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden were named the Big 12 Pair of the Week, according to an April 14 announcement from the league. The recognition follows their undefeated performance at the Boise State Beach Bash over the weekend.

The award highlights Anderson and Wolden’s achievements during a strong season for the Broncos, who are ranked nineteenth with a record of 15-13 overall and 2-1 in conference play. This is the second time this season that Boise State has earned this honor; Avery Allen and Keira Demirjian previously received it on March 24. Boise State is among three programs in the conference to win multiple pair of the week awards, and one of only two schools to have two different pairs recognized.

During the Beach Bash, Anderson and Wolden competed from the No. 2 position throughout all matches. They started by defeating South Florida’s Isabella Almeida and Zoey Mitchell in straight sets (21-15, 21-17). Against Florida International’s Nicole Robinson and Madalyn Wade, they recovered from a first-set loss to win in three sets (13-21, 21-19, 15-10). The pair repeated this comeback against Grand Canyon’s Sarah Edler and Katie Keefe (16-21, 21-16, 15-11), before finishing by securing Boise State’s only point against Washington with another straight-set victory over Youna Coens and Jordyn Decker (21-19, 21-16).

This latest award adds to Anderson and Wolden’s growing list of accomplishments; earlier this season they broke Boise State’s program record for most career wins as a pair with thirty-nine victories. Their current season record stands at nineteen wins and nine losses—the highest on their team roster—and ranks ninth-most for any Bronco duo in a single season.

Looking ahead, Boise State will finish its regular season at the Alki Invitational scheduled for April 17–18 in Seattle. The team will then compete at the Big 12 Conference Championship on April 23–24 in Tucson.
