Astro Adventures camp will begin offering sessions starting June 1, according to a Mar. 11 announcement. The camp is designed for rising third through sixth graders and aims to spark curiosity about space science and exploration.
The program seeks to connect astronomy with everyday life while aligning activities with Idaho State Science Standards. Organizers say campers will participate in hands-on activities, group challenges, and presentations that explore the links between daily experiences and outer space. The camp also highlights Idaho’s contributions to NASA-supported efforts in planetary exploration.
Over the course of ten weeks, Astro Adventures will feature five unique themes: The Sun and Solar System, Exploring Our Universe, Life and Technology in Space, Sci-Fi, and Aliens and Exoplanets. Each session runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. and pickup scheduled between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. After-camp care is available until 5:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
The cost per week-long session is $275, with after-camp care offered at $90 per week or session. Organizers remind parents that all campers must be picked up by 5:00 p.m., with extra charges applying for late pickups.
