On Friday, March 20, former Boise Senior High School basketball standout Avery Howell powered the Washington Huskies to a 72-54 win over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in the NCAA Tournament.

The matchup was held at Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, tipping off at 1:30 p.m.

Howell added 30 points, nine rebounds, two steals and one assist in 33 minutes of play.

The Huskies are set to play their following tournament game Sunday, March 22, at 7 p.m. at Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena.
