Angie Bos, the current dean of Boise State University’s School of Public Service, has been named Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Occidental College. Her new role will begin on July 1, 2026. Bos has served as SPS dean since joining Boise State in 2022.
Interim Provost Zeynep Hansen acknowledged Bos’s contributions to the university. “I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Dr. Bos on her new position and thank her for her service and leadership at Boise State. Her impact on our institution has been tremendous,” said Hansen.
Bos expressed appreciation for her time at Boise State while noting the difficulty of leaving. “I am excited about this opportunity, but it is not easy to leave a community that I care deeply about,” Bos said. “It has been an honor to serve as dean of the School of Public Service, and I am grateful for the partnership and collaboration that have advanced the work of SPS.”
Boise State University will announce plans for transitioning leadership in the School of Public Service soon.
