Boise State Beach Volleyball will host the Boise State Classic on April 3-4, marking its first home event as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The Broncos, currently holding a record of 9-11 overall and 2-1 in conference play, will welcome CSUN, Oregon, Santa Clara, and UTEP for the two-day competition.
The tournament holds significance as it is Boise State’s debut hosting role since joining the Big 12 alongside Florida State and South Carolina in September 2025. Spectators can attend all matches free of charge with parking available at Lincoln Garage. The Broncos are set to face Oregon at 1 p.m. and Santa Clara at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed by matchups against UTEP at 12:30 p.m. and CSUN at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Boise State enters the classic with a notable home winning streak of twenty duals dating back to 2020—the sixth-longest active streak nationally. Their recent performance includes defeating two ranked opponents—No.20 Arizona and No.19 South Carolina—in their first weekend of conference play as Big 12 members.
The team has achieved further milestones this season: Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden became the program’s winningest pair with thirty-one career wins together; meanwhile, senior Alden launched a ‘Block Party’ fundraiser supporting BroncoBOLD for each ace or block recorded this season (currently totaling forty-nine aces and forty-five blocks). Friday’s dual against Oregon will also serve as the BroncoBOLD Mental Health Dual to promote mental health awareness among student-athletes.
This year marks several firsts for Boise State Beach Volleyball—not only their inaugural season in the Big 12 but also Alex Venardos’ debut as head coach following Allison Voigt’s departure last summer. Last season saw Boise State claim both regular-season and conference championships in the Southland Conference before making its first appearance in the NCAA National Tournament.
