Asha Muhingi, a senior majoring in political science at Boise State University, was selected on Mar. 27 for The Roosevelt Institute’s Roosevelt in Washington Fellowship.
The fellowship provides students with the chance to learn about public policy, advocacy, and project management. It is considered a significant opportunity for those interested in shaping policy and gaining experience in Washington, D.C.
Muhingi will participate in a six-month program that begins virtually before transitioning to an eight-week internship based in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 2026. “I’ll be working with students across the country who are committed to shaping policy and building a more just future,” Muhingi said. “I’m grateful to the Roosevelt network for the opportunity to be part of this intergenerational community of changemakers and excited to get started.”
The Roosevelt Institute’s fellowship aims to connect students from across the United States who share an interest in public service and policymaking.
