The Boise State track and field team is set to compete in the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships, taking place from February 26 to 28 in Reno, Nevada. The team will be represented by 56 athletes at this major conference event.
At last year’s Mountain West Indoor Championships, Boise State secured two event titles and five additional podium finishes. Landon Helms claimed victory in the heptathlon, while a quartet of Broncos won the women’s distance medley relay. Both the men’s and women’s teams finished seventh overall in 2025.
Four Bronco athletes enter this year’s meet with national top-50 rankings. Kaiya Robertson is ranked sixth nationally in the mile and 46th in the 800 meters. Landon Helms holds the nation’s 13th-best mark in the heptathlon. Aayden Simmons is ranked 34th in high jump, and Raekwon Weatherspoon sits at No. 35 in long jump. Athletes must be among the top 16 nationally to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Boise State’s lineup features competitors across a range of events for both men and women, including sprints, distance races, jumps, throws, hurdles, relays, pentathlon for women, and heptathlon for men.
The championships schedule spans three days with preliminary rounds starting Thursday morning and finals concluding Saturday afternoon.
