Boise State lost 6-3 to Colorado State in a Mountain West Conference softball game on March 28 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The game saw Boise State’s Mya Flindt hit her team-leading eighth home run, which came during a three-run rally in the seventh inning. Despite this effort, Boise State was unable to overcome Colorado State’s early lead.

Flindt’s home run followed a sequence where Chloe Hughes walked to start the inning and advanced on a single by Skylar Stroh. Both runners moved up on a ground out, with Hughes scoring on a passed ball before Flindt delivered her two-run homer. Sophia Romero contributed with two hits for Boise State.

Colorado State scored runs in each of the first three innings, including three runs in the second frame, and added another run in the sixth. Boise State had baserunners every inning but left runners stranded in scoring position four times, including three at third base.

The teams are scheduled to conclude their series Sunday with first pitch set for noon.
