Boise State lost 7-1 to Fresno State on March 22 at Dona Larsen Park, ending their bid for a series sweep in Mountain West Conference play.

The outcome matters as it highlights both the Broncos’ overall performance in the series and notable moments for the team and fans. Despite the loss, Boise State had already secured the series win earlier in the weekend.

Fresno State recorded three home runs during Sunday’s game, limiting Boise State to just two hits. The Bulldogs also capitalized on eight walks and two errors by the Broncos. Fresno State scored three runs each in the second and fifth innings, adding another run in the seventh. Marissa Gonzalez provided Boise State’s only run with a solo home run to lead off the third inning—her sixth of the season.

The weekend series attracted 2,278 fans, setting a new school record for attendance at a conference home-opening series. This turnout reflects growing support for Boise State softball.

Looking ahead, Boise State will travel to Colorado for a three-game series against Colorado State from March 27 to March 29.
