Nine students from Boise State University’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter earned eleven first-place awards and nine additional top-five placements at the Idaho State Leadership Conference in March 2026. The event, which brought together more than 2,000 participants including students, advisors, and industry partners from across Idaho, focused on Workplace Skills Assessment Program events that tested knowledge in business, finance, information technology, and leadership.

The Boise State team included Ana Alvarez, Lily Ferrin, Lucas Fleege, Jessica Garcia, Jeni Hammond, Sager Lynch, Tabitha Rager, Megan Rogers, and Chloe McAdams. Their strong performance qualified all nine students for the upcoming BPA National Leadership Conference scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee in May.

Alex Ritzman, faculty advisor for BPA and lecturer in management at Boise State University, commented on the group’s achievements: “Our continued success at the state competition showcases our chapter’s reputation for national-level excellence. Year after year, our members demonstrate the resilience and dedication required to compete at the highest level, all while representing Boise State University and the College of Business and Economics.”
