Boise State University announced on April 13 that its Human Resources department will host a quarterly retirement workshop for employees and their spouses who are age 55 and older. The event is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, in the Lookout room on the third floor of the Student Union Building.

The workshop aims to help participants feel confident and prepared as they approach retirement by bringing together key resources in one setting. It is intended both for those who are a few years away from retiring as well as those actively making plans.

During the session, retirement experts will present information about PERSI (Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho) retirement planning, Optional Retirement Planning readiness through Fidelity, and Medicare education provided by SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors). Organizers say the event will simplify retirement planning by offering clear information and practical guidance.

Signage will be available at the venue to direct attendees. Those interested in learning more or with questions can contact benefits@boisestate.edu.
