The Boise State track and field team ended its final appearance at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with three individual titles and a total of seven podium finishes. The women’s team achieved fourth place overall, their best result since 2022, while the men’s team finished seventh.
On the first day of competition, Emily Stefan led Boise State’s multis in the pentathlon, finishing fifth and setting a new school record with 3,821 points. Gabbie Hasskamp took 12th place with 3,615 points, marking the third-best score in program history. During the second day, Landon Helms won his second consecutive conference heptathlon title after entering the day in second place. In addition to this achievement, Weatherspoon set a school record in the 60 meters during preliminaries with a time of 6.66 seconds.
Emily Stefan added another podium finish for Boise State by earning bronze in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.97 meters—her first collegiate conference podium placement.

Head coach Pat McCurry commented on his team’s performance: “I’m really happy with the progress and this meet showed that for both our men’s and women’s squads. Coach Mark Badowsky’s jump group was the standout group of the meet. Phenomenal performances from them. It was also great to see the Broncos score points across the full spectrum of event areas. We’ll keep building through both recruitment and development to make sure the Broncos are always a force in championship track and field going forward. Lastly, I’m again grateful for the fight our athletes showed. We asked a lot of some of them over the last three days, and they wore the jersey proudly and showed up every time.”
Pending official results nationwide, athletes ranked within their event’s top sixteen will qualify for NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled March 13–14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
