Cal State San Bernardino falls 8-6 to Cal Poly Pomona in Division II matchup

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, former Timberline High School standout Kailer Saunders and the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes dropped an NCAA Division II baseball matchup, 8-6, to Cal Poly Pomona Broncos.

The game was contested at Fiscalini Field and marked the third meeting between the teams this season. The previous game, also held Saturday, March 7, ended in a 14-6 loss for the Coyotes.

Saunders pitched seven innings, surrendering eight earned runs and recording seven strikeouts.

The Coyotes return to action against Cal Poly Pomona Broncos on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at Fiscalini Field.
