Simpson has represented Idaho’s 2nd congressional district since 1999 after succeeding Mike Crapo. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998. Born in Burley, Idaho in 1950 and currently residing in Idaho Falls, Simpson graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972.
