Simpson has served in Congress since 1999 after succeeding Mike Crapo and previously held office in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998. Born in Burley, Idaho in 1950 and currently residing in Idaho Falls at age 72, Simpson earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in 1972.
