Congressman Mike Simpson, who represents Idaho’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on May 12, 2026, highlighting his legislative activities and views on national issues.

Later that day, he commented on nuclear innovation efforts in Idaho, writing: “Always great seeing @INL Director Dr. John Wagner. Mike Simpson has represented Idaho’s 2nd District since 1999 after succeeding Mike Crapo and previously served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998. Born in Burley, Idaho in 1950 and currently residing in Idaho Falls, Simpson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University in 1972.
