Congressman Mike Simpson, who represents Idaho’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media highlighting both personal and national events.
On December 6, 2025, Simpson posted about his visit to the White House during the holiday season. He wrote, “Christmas season at the White House! Thank you to President Trump and the First Lady for having us – Kathy and I had a wonderful time.”
The following day, December 7, Simpson commemorated the anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a message honoring those who served. His post read: “We will never forget.

Simpson has represented Idaho’s 2nd District in Congress since 1999 after serving in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998. He succeeded Mike Crapo in Congress and was born in Burley, Idaho in 1950. Now aged 72, he resides in Idaho Falls and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University.
