Congressman Mike Simpson, who represents Idaho’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media discussing tax policy and recent legislative actions.

On April 14, 2026, Simpson highlighted a provision in new tax legislation, stating: “The @TrumpAccounts provision in the Working Families Tax Cuts >>> This Administration is INVESTING in future generations. Truly one of my favorite tax policies in this bill!”

The following day, coinciding with the national tax filing deadline, he posted: “Today is tax day and the rumors are true…” on April 15, 2026.

Later that same day, Simpson emphasized the impact of Republican-led tax cuts by writing: “Americans are keeping MORE MONEY in their pockets and receiving HIGHER tax returns thanks to the tax cuts that REPUBLICANS passed. @POTUS and @HouseGOP are fighting for working families!”
