Creekside Transitional Care and Rehabilitation was identified as Ada County’s third largest nursing home during the first quarter of 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reported.
The facility offered 139 beds—40 more than the county average for this period—and served an average of 120.9 residents throughout the quarter.
CMS awarded Creekside Transitional Care and Rehabilitation an overall rating of 4 out of 5, surpassing Idaho’s nursing home average rating of 3.2.
Life Care Center of Boise was the largest in Ada County in the quarter, providing 153 beds, followed by Arbor Valley of Cascadia with 148 beds available.

U.S. Census Bureau data highlights ongoing growth among the nation’s older adult population, while younger cohorts decline. The number of Americans age 65 and older rose by 13% between 2020 and 2024, while those under age 18 fell by 1.7%. Over the past 100 years, the older adult demographic has expanded sharply from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.
According to a 2021 report, nearly half of adults age 65 and up—about 28 million individuals—are expected to need long-term services and support, and over one-third may eventually require nursing home care.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
