Earlham Quakers claim 8-3 win as Axel Kappes pitches against Asbury Eagles

Former Bishop Kelly High School standout Axel Kappes contributed to Earlham Quakers’ 8-3 victory over the Asbury Eagles in an NCAA Division III baseball game held Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m.

Randal R. Sadler Stadium was the site of their first game this season against the Eagles.

Kappes threw for 2.2 innings, tallying two walks and three strikeouts.

The Quakers are set to return to Randal R. Sadler Stadium for their next matchup against Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m.
