Five members of the Boise State women’s gymnastics team were named to the All-Mountain West second team, according to a March 20 announcement from the conference. The honorees include senior Sydney Kho (beam), freshman Miraya Nero (all-around), fifth-year Blake Pascal (floor), sophomore Kristina Shchennikova (bars), and junior Mahleea Werline (bars).

The recognition highlights the achievements of these athletes during the regular season. Kho earned her first career conference honor with a beam National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 9.840, ranking sixth in the Mountain West. She finished the season with six consecutive beam routines scoring 9.800 or higher, marking the program’s longest such streak since assistant coach Adriana Popp achieved eight straight in 2024.

Nero was selected for her performance in all-around, posting an NQS of 38.830, which is fifth-best in the conference. She became the first Bronco freshman to win an all-around title since Courtney McGregor in 2017 and is also recognized as a three-time Mountain West Specialist of the Week.

Pascal received All-Mountain West honors on floor for a second consecutive year after achieving an NQS of 9.860, which is Boise State’s highest NQS in any event this season. Shchennikova earned her second-straight selection on bars with a 9.845 NQS and posted a career-high score of 9.925 at California on March 7, tying for Boise State’s best individual event score this year.

Werline was honored for her performance on bars, tying for sixth in the conference with an NQS of 9.835 and earning her first career event title with a routine scoring 9.900 on March 13.

Boise State’s five selections are its most since seven Broncos were recognized in 2010 and tie them for second-most among Mountain West teams this year. The Broncos will host the Mountain West Championship at ExtraMile Arena at 6 p.m. on March 21, competing against Air Force, San Jose State, and Utah State.
