Boise State announced on April 1 that Chase Gorder and Reese Knox will represent the university at the 2026 Genesis Invitational Collegiate Showcase, scheduled for tomorrow at Bluejack National in Montgomery, Texas.

The showcase was originally planned for Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California on February 16 but was postponed due to inclement weather. The event offers collegiate golfers a chance to earn a spot in a PGA Tour event. This year’s individual champion will receive an exemption into the 2026 Corales Puntacana Championship, which is set for July 16-19 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Gorder and Knox are making their first appearances at this showcase. In the previous year, Boise State was one of only three colleges with multiple competitors, joining Wake Forest and Washington. The field includes eighteen golfers from various institutions.

Boise State has achieved notable success at this event recently. Cole Rueck won the Genesis Collegiate Showcase championship in both 2024 and 2025. Rueck shot an even-par round of 71 to win a playoff in 2024 and followed up with a three-under-par score of 69 for a one-shot victory last year, becoming the first two-time winner of the competition.

This season, Boise State’s men’s golf team has secured two team championships as well as two individual titles while compiling a record of seventy-two wins, forty-three losses, and three ties. The Broncos are scheduled to return to action April 6-7 at the UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate—a tournament they won during their previous campaign.
