Senator Jim Risch, representing Idaho, has recently highlighted several issues and activities through his social media posts.

On March 8, 2026, Risch shared his visit to Lewiston, where he met with constituents and recognized a local business. He stated, “It’s always great being in Lewiston! Yesterday I had the chance to meet with constituents and present Tyler Wolff, owner of Noble-T Arbor, with a Congressional Records Statement recognizing his business as the February Idaho Small Business of the Month.”

The following day, on March 9, 2026, Risch addressed healthcare access for veterans in Idaho. He wrote, “Idaho’s veterans should not face unnecessary delays in care after selflessly serving our country. Streamlining appointment scheduling and reducing wait times for the Community Care Program is common sense and will ensure our veterans—especially in rural Idaho—receive the timely”.

Later that same day, Risch commented on gun rights and federal oversight. In his post he said, “Idaho’s law-abiding gun owners should not be subject to illegal firearms registries that infringe on our Second Amendment rights. The GRIP Act will close this loophole and ensure federal dollars are not used to keep these illegal registries.”

Senator Risch has previously advocated for veteran services reform and gun rights protections as part of his legislative priorities. These topics continue to be significant within Idaho politics due to its large rural population and strong support for Second Amendment rights.
