Senator Jim Risch, a Republican representing Idaho, recently shared several messages on his official social media account addressing constituents and honoring notable individuals and groups.
On May 10, 2026, Risch marked Mother’s Day with a message to families across the nation. He wrote, “Wishing a happy Mother’s Day to all of the great moms raising our next generation!”
The following day, May 11, 2026, Risch congratulated an Idaho student for an academic achievement. In his post he stated, “Congratulations to Coeur d’Alene’s Ryan Drappo on his appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy! Nominating Idaho’s best and brightest to our service academies is one of my greatest honors. Good luck, Ryan! You make Idaho and our nation proud.”
Later that same day, Risch recognized law enforcement officers in connection with National Police Week. He posted, “Our law enforcement officers go above and beyond every day to keep our communities safe. This National Police Week, join me in thanking the brave men and women who have answered the call to protect the Gem State”.
