Congressman Mike Simpson, who represents Idaho’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on March 24, 2026, addressing topics ranging from law enforcement to agriculture.
In his first post of the day, Simpson wrote: “Please join me in praying for this officer. God bless @usparkpolicepio.” (March 24, 2026).
Later that morning, he marked National Agriculture Day by stating: “Whether we realize it or not, every American depends on agriculture every single day. Today, on National Agriculture Day, please join me in honoring the hardworking farmers and ranchers throughout this great nation!” (March 24, 2026).
In a subsequent post that afternoon, Simpson commented: “… Americans right now:” (March 24, 2026).
Simpson has represented Idaho’s 2nd congressional district since succeeding Mike Crapo in 1999 and previously served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998. He was born in Burley, Idaho in 1950 and currently resides in Idaho Falls. Simpson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University in 1972.
