Simpson has served as the representative of Idaho’s 2nd congressional district since 1999 after replacing Mike Crapo. He previously held office in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998. Born in Burley, Idaho in 1950 and currently residing in Idaho Falls at age 72, Simpson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University.
