U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in the U.S. Capitol today.
“It was a pleasure to welcome Mr. Secretary General Stoltenberg to the Senate today ahead of the 75th anniversary of NATO,” Risch said. “With so many grave security threats facing our alliance today, from Russia to China, to Iran and others, we were able to have a robust conversation about how we can work together to fulfill our collective defense commitments. I look forward to seeing Mr. Secretary General again in a few weeks at the upcoming summit.”
