On October 23, 2024, Congressman Simpson expressed concerns regarding border security policies under the current administration. He stated that “Thanks to President Biden and Border Czar Kamala Harris’ open-border policies, danger is present both inside and outside our southern border.” He further noted that over 390 individuals on the terrorist watchlist were stopped while attempting to cross the border during this period.

The following day, October 24, 2024, Simpson celebrated the centennial of Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve. In his tweet, he acknowledged the monument’s global impact: “For 100 years, Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve has inspired wonder in visitors worldwide.” As a long-time supporter of national parks, he expressed honor in participating in celebrations with staff and supporters dedicated to preserving this landmark.

Later on October 24th, Congressman Simpson extended gratitude towards a colleague in Congress. He tweeted appreciation for Robert Aderholt’s participation in Appropriations 101: “Many thanks to my good friend and colleague, @Robert_Aderholt…for joining Appropriations 101!” This message highlighted Aderholt’s role as Chairman of a significant subcommittee impacting communities and education.
