Congressman Mike Simpson recently took to his social media platform to engage with his constituents on various matters. Known for his lengthy tenure in the U.S. Congress representing Idaho’s 2nd district, Simpson frequently updates his followers on key issues and local achievements.

On April 16, 2025, Simpson extended his congratulations to a local student. “Idahoans — please join me in congratulating Seoyoon Song from Bishop Kelly HS on winning the 2025 Congressional Art Contest for Idaho’s 2nd Congressional District.” He announced that Seoyoon’s artwork will be on display in the U.S. Capitol Building.

Later that day, the Congressman shared reflections on his recent activities in Washington D.C., highlighting the busy agenda facing Congress. “It’s an exciting time to be in Washington—there’s no shortage of important issues to tackle, and Congress is staying busy. I enjoyed discussing these issues with Neal and Julie on the Neal Larson Show!” He expressed his enthusiasm for working with fellow members of the House GOP and the administration.

On April 17, 2025, Simpson gave insight into a conversation with Matt Todd regarding legislative reform, specifically the Equal Access to Justice Act (EAJA). “Good to join my friend, Matt Todd, again! Congressman Mike Simpson, who has served since replacing Mike Crapo in 1999, represents Idaho’s 2nd district and has a long history of public service. Born in Burley, Idaho in 1950, Simpson lives in Idaho Falls and is an alumnus of Utah State University.
