Blaine County ranked second in state for resident earnings in 2017

Blaine County ranked second among counties in Idaho by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Blaine County residents was an inflation-adjusted $31,045 per year. Blaine County had 8,273 households in 2017, with a population of 21,583.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Teton County. Teton County's median income was $32,088 per year after adjusting for inflation – $1,043 more than Blaine County. It had 3,764 households in 2017 and a population of 10,776.

Madison County had the lowest annual resident income among counties in Idaho, with a median income of only $11,288 per year. That was $19,757 less than the median income in Blaine County at the time. Madison County had 10,633 households in 2017 and a population of 38,241.
