Three Boise State men’s tennis student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators 2025-26 Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on May 12. Stewart Aronson, Taiyo Kurata, and Avery Tallakson each received this recognition.
The award honors student-athletes for their achievements both in athletics and academics. Kurata was selected for the second time in his career, while Aronson and Tallakson earned their first selections.
Boise State’s three honorees tie a program record for most Academic All-District selections in a single season.
Aronson is a political science major with a 3.73 cumulative GPA. He recorded 43 combined singles and doubles wins this season, with his 24 singles victories tying for the team lead alongside Kurata and Lukas Velik. Competing primarily at the No. 2 position, Aronson earned Mountain West All-Conference honors in singles and achieved a ranked win over Sebastian Sec of Princeton.
Kurata majors in marketing with a GPA of 3.69. He received Mountain West All-Tournament honors at No. 6 singles after going undefeated at the conference championship and tied for most singles wins on the team this season with 24 victories. In doubles play, he partnered with Julius Seifert to achieve one of the top career winning percentages at No. 2 Doubles.
Tallakson is studying business administration with a GPA of 3.58 and led Boise State with 47 combined wins in singles and doubles matches this year. The junior mainly played at No.1 position in both lineups, recording eight singles wins along with sixteen doubles victories, earning Mountain West All-Conference honors in both categories including two ranked wins.
