Boise State University will be represented by two athletes at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 13-14. Landon Helms and Kaiya Robertson have qualified for the national meet, marking the first time since 2019 that multiple Broncos have advanced to this level.

Qualification for the championships is based on ranking among the top 16 nationally in each event. Helms secured his spot in the heptathlon after scoring 5,964 points at the Mountain West Indoor Championships. This performance set both a Boise State program record and a Mountain West Championships record. Helms’ score ranks eighth nationally, making him only the second Bronco ever to qualify for the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships and the first since 2012.

Robertson earned her place in the mile with a time of 4:24.51, which stands as both a school record—surpassing the previous mark by more than 11 seconds—and as the fastest time recorded in Mountain West history by over eight seconds. Her result ranks sixth nationally this season. She becomes Boise State’s first qualifier in this event since Alexis Fuller finished ninth in 2019.

The schedule for competition includes mile semifinals on Friday, March 13 at 4:05 p.m. MT and finals on Saturday, March 14 at 3:10 p.m. The heptathlon starts Friday morning with four events—60 meters, long jump, shot put and high jump—and concludes Saturday with three more events beginning at 10 a.m.

“Landon Helms and Kaiya Robertson each officially punched their ticket to the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships, set for March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.”
