Congressman Mike Simpson, representing Idaho’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress since 1999, recently shared his thoughts on significant issues via social media. His posts covered topics ranging from Holocaust remembrance to border security and pro-life policies.

On January 27, 2025, Congressman Simpson marked Holocaust Remembrance Day by honoring the memory of those who perished during this tragic period. He stated, "On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memory of the 6 million innocent Jewish lives, along with countless others, murdered by the Nazi regime. We must never forget this dark chapter in history and continue to fight against antisemitism and hatred. Never Again is now."

Later that day, he addressed national security concerns through immigration policy by expressing support for a legislative proposal. He tweeted on January 27, 2025: "Border security IS national security. I'm proud to cosponsor @RepBrandonGill’s REMAIN in Mexico Act. This legislation would codify one of President Trump’s most successful immigration policies and recent executive border action into law."

Continuing his engagement with policy matters on January 29, 2025, Congressman Simpson voiced appreciation for former President Trump's administration's stance on life-affirming policies. He posted: "My pro-life colleagues and I are deeply grateful for the Trump admin’s unwavering commitment to life, and we stand ready to support their efforts to restore life-affirming policies and secure meaningful victories for pregnant women, mothers, and their children—born and unborn."
