Congressman Mike Simpson, representing Idaho’s 2nd district since 1999, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. These include his stance on the Lava Ridge Wind Project, discussions in Washington with prominent figures, and a commemoration of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

On December 6, 2024, Congressman Simpson criticized the Lava Ridge Wind Project. He stated that "From the beginning, I have made it abundantly clear that the Lava Ridge Wind Project is completely out of touch with the values and needs of our state." He emphasized the opposition to this project within Idaho and noted continued actions by the Biden Administration and the Bureau of Land Management.

Later that day, Simpson discussed political activities in Washington as Congress approaches its new session. In his tweet from December 6, he mentioned that "As the 119th Congress approaches, @HouseGOP is gearing up to hit the ground running and implement the mandate of the American people." Additionally, he shared about meeting with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy regarding plans for Dogecoin.

On December 7, Simpson marked National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day by honoring those who sacrificed their lives during World War II. He tweeted: "On this National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we pause to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation 83 years ago."
