Congressman Mike Simpson, representing Idaho’s 2nd district since 1999, recently shared his views on various legislative efforts through a series of tweets. His comments reflect his legislative priorities, focusing on judicial reform, electoral integrity, and budget resolutions.

On April 10, 2025, Congressman Simpson tweeted his support for a recent legislative effort, stating, "I just voted YES on the No Rogue Rulings Act." He expressed concern about the influence of district judges, adding, "Legislating from the bench and judge shopping have weaponized our judicial system, and limiting the power of district judges to impose nationwide injunctions is a common-sense solution to combat this problem."

In another tweet on the same day, Simpson expressed his stance on electoral matters, asserting that "Only American citizens should decide American elections."

Later, Simpson reported his vote in favor of a budget resolution, tweeting on April 10, "Passing the budget resolution today keeps President Trump's agenda moving forward." He emphasized the Republican party's commitment to delivering substantial savings and maintaining essential programs, stating, "I was a proud YES vote."

Congressman Simpson has served Idaho's 2nd district since replacing Mike Crapo in 1999, following 14 years in the Idaho House of Representatives. At 72, the Burley-born, Utah State University graduate resides in Idaho Falls.
