On December 10, 2024, Congressman Simpson expressed his enthusiasm for the winners of the Congressional App Challenge. He stated, "I am thrilled to congratulate Kade Poulson and Hazel Rivadeneira as the 2024 Congressional App Challenge Winners! Congratulations to all the participants for their dedication to innovation. I am proud to represent such creative students."

The following day, on December 11, 2024, he emphasized his support for servicemembers and their families through a legislative measure. He wrote, "Our servicemembers and their families have sacrificed so much for our great nation, and they deserve the highest level of support and care, both during and after their service. The FY25 NDAA puts the brave men and women in uniform first. I was proud to support this bill."
