Congressman Mike Simpson, representing Idaho’s 2nd district since 1999, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various topics. Born in Burley, Idaho in 1950, Simpson has a long-standing career in public service, including serving in the Idaho House of Representatives from 1984 to 1998 before joining Congress.
On March 3, 2025, Congressman Simpson expressed his condolences following the passing of Lincoln Diaz-Balart. He tweeted: "Kathy and I extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lincoln Diaz-Balart. Lincoln was a fierce defender of freedom around the world and loved this great nation. It was an honor to serve alongside him in the House, and I am proud to have called him a friend."
