On March 12, 2025, Congressman Simpson praised President Trump's nomination of Gail Slater as Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust. He attended her swearing-in ceremony and expressed his support for the Department of Justice team, including Todd Blanche and Pam Bondi. The following day, on March 13, 2025, Simpson met with Secretary Burgum. As Chairman of the House Interior & Environment Appropriations Subcommittee, he looks forward to collaborating with Secretary Burgum to reduce regulations and promote American values through the current administration's agenda. Later that day, Congressman Simpson called on Senate Democrats to take action after stating that the House had completed its responsibilities.
