Congressman Mike Simpson, representing Idaho's 2nd district since 1999, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing critical issues. His posts range from concerns about fentanyl overdoses to celebrating the U.S. Navy's anniversary.

On October 10, 2024, Congressman Simpson expressed his concern over the increasing rate of fentanyl overdoses in Idaho. He attributed this issue to the current administration's border policies. "Far too many families have lost a loved one due to the rising rate of fentanyl overdoses in Idaho. The wave of fentanyl flooding into our state is a direct result of the Biden-Harris admin's open-border policies."

In a tweet dated October 12, 2024, he acknowledged Idaho's agricultural sector on National Farmers Day. "Idaho is home to nearly 25,000 farms and ranches—we understand the vital role agriculture plays in our communities." He urged people to honor local farmers and ranchers for their contributions.

On October 13, 2024, Congressman Simpson celebrated the U.S. Navy's birthday by expressing gratitude towards its service members. "Happy 249th Birthday, @USNavy! Thank you to the men and women who have served and continue to serve our great nation."
